What it does

What this treatment can do for you:

Filler contains hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that becomes depleted as we age. Fillers are used to smooth facial wrinkles, create volume, and lift for a natural, beautiful look.

There is a wide variety of dermal fillers on the market, with the most common ones being Restylane and Juvederm.

Who is a candidate?

Filler is great for facial balancing and to tweak specific areas. Anyone with volume loss is a great candidate. Not for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Timing

Depending on the filler and the area where it is injected, it can last anywhere from 6 months to 18 months.

What areas can you treat?

Lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, under-eyes, and the lines around the nose and mouth are the most common. Your provider will talk through what will look balanced on your face.

How much filler will I need?

Depending on the area, you may need more than one syringe. Your provider will assess that during your consultation. Syringes are $800 each.

How long does it last?

6 to 18 months, depending on the filler and the area treated.

Will I bruise or swell?

Some swelling or bruising for a few days is common, especially in the lips. Book at least 2 weeks before a big event.

Can filler be dissolved?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed.

Can I get filler while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. We don’t treat during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
